That Pasta Place, ETC., 444 Front St. N., Suite 251, Delft Square Mall, Lynden, 360-318-1903; Italian.

"That Pasta Place, ETC., offers a variety of fresh and filled pastas that include penne, fettuccine, linguine, spaghetti, angel hair and buckwheat, as well as meat or cheese ravioli. Any of these can be complemented with one of five homemade sauces, from a simple red to clam, Alfredo, creamy pesto or meat sauce. Various extras can be added, including prawns, smoked salmon, chicken breast, mushrooms, meatballs and sausage. Mix and match away, ordering what you crave." For dessert, the tiramisu "is made with Mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers and espresso. The version served (here) was unlike any I've had before and ... included a liberal topping of chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and the delightful surprise of a chocolate-covered espresso bean plopped on top. The consistency was much thinner than other tiramisu I've tried, but it made a pleasant ending to a pleasant meal." Entrees: $9.95-$14.95.
